Gas supply has been suspended to more than 800 small and large industrial units in Gujranwala. Hundreds of thousands workers got unemployed. A major setback for trembling Pakistani industry as major production contracts got cancelled. Mr. Sagheer Butt, Info Secretary PPP Gujranwala expressed his concerns in a press conference. Along with him Ex Secretary General Rana Hanif, President Traders Wing Malik Zulfiqar Bhutto, Mian Sheraiz, Abdullah Butt and others were present at the press conference.
They emphasised that Govt on one hand has increased gas tariffs and above all now suspended gas supply to more than 800 industrial units for an in notified period. This gas suspension to industry has caused unemployment of hundreds of thousands of workers and cancellation of almost all national and I international production orders.
Govt is unable to provide gas to residential users too. This has forced them to buy expensive LPG and wood to run their kitchens. Current govt has caused 200% price hike in all consumer products and public is quite deep drown in this inflation.
Govt has failed miserably to give any kind of relief to public MR. SAGHEER further added, PPP will hold agitation against gas load shedding. PPP’s recent congregation in Rawalpindi has proved the coming time belongs to Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
