MARDAN: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Ameer Sirajul Haq on Sunday criticised the PML-N government saying that the “ruling govt has failed 100 percent.”
“The public has given enough chances to those who call to ‘give respect to vote’, but the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government has 100 percent failed,” Siraj said while addressing a rally in Mardan.
The JI chief continued that “some people who work for their personal interests have damaged the country”. He added that if the general elections 2018 are going to be a replica of Senate elections, then it is “a waste of energy”.
“If corrupt people are awarded tickets in general elections like they were during Senate polls, then that is wrong and a waste of energy,” Sirajul Haq said.
Siraj pointed out that for Pakistan to become a “clean” country, the leaders would also have to be “clean and corruption free.”
“Recently, a party issued show cause notices to its leaders for selling votes during Senate elections,” the JI ameer added while referring to PTI.
