RAWALPINDI: The PIMS medical team on Tuesday conducted another check up of former Premier Nawaz Sharif in Adiala Jail, which lasted around 2.5 hours.
The PIMS medical team conducted a thorough examination yesterday and asserted that Nawaz should be sent to a hospital beyond the jail facility.
However, it has been reported that Nawaz remains adamant that he will stay at Adiala.
After the yesterday’s checkup, the PIMS medical team sent the former premier’s blood samples to laboratories to be tested further. The doctors asserted that the heat and lack of sleep have contributed to Nawaz’s deteriorating state and have instructed the doctors in Adiala Jail to monitor his vitals closely.
Nawaz was sentenced to prison for 11 years. His appeal against the verdict is on hold in the Islamabad High Court.
